In 1999, Higer Bus Company Limited began operation. With the sales of RMB230 million, it made profit in the first year, which was well known in Chinese bus and coach industry. In 2001, it obtained the qualification of independent development of chassis, which is rare in the domestic bus and coach manufacturers. In 2002, it began to manufacture large buses and coaches. With the sales of 9375 buses and coaches of RMB1.75 billion, it became the Chinese bus and coach manufacturer with the second largest sales amount in the year. In 2003 and 2004, it gained the sales of RMB1.88 billion and RMB 2.4 billion. The continuous fast increase of sales amount has never stopped for the past six years.

December 1998, Higer United Automotive Industry (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. incorporated.

September 1999, 1,000 complete vehicles put into production.

2001, passed qualification of independent chassis development.
